If you're from Chicago and you live in LA, give this place a try. Its the closest to Chicago food that I've had on the west coast. They get the food right, its nothing exceptional, nothing new, just good Chicago fast food. QT Chicago Dogs will deliver all the goods including the proper burst of the natural casing (well worth the $1 additional charge) Vienna beef hot dog under layers of bright green relish, yellow mustard, diced onions, sport peppers, sliced tomatoes, a dash of celery salt, a kosher dill pickle spear and no ketchup -- all served in a steamed S. Rosen poppy seed bun. The precut, frozen French fries are made extra crispy and have as much an inexplicable appeal as the frozen patty hamburgers served on grilled sesame seed buns. The Kronos Central sourced gyros are very good as well. One other noteworthy item on the menu is the veggie dog, which offers a healthier option for those not from Chicago. The staff is extremely friendly, always willing to refill your drink and favor sports on the small ceiling suspended television. *** This site has no association with QT Chicago Dogs, and is just for information only |
